Just steps from The Darcy apartment complex lies HomeSlyce Federal Hill, a local pizzeria and pub with a laid-back atmosphere and countless ways to customize your pizza pie. Also nearby is Papi Cuisine, a new Caribbean infusion restaurant owned by two locals. We hear the Ultimate Seafood Alfredo is off the charts. More towards the center of Federal Hill is Blue Agave, a festive Mexican eatery and tequila bar. Stop in for a premium margarita and stay for the chorizo mac and cheese and carnitas which are always a hit.
Some of the most renowned spots to sip and socialize include Mother’s Federal Hill Grille with its iconic Purple Patio celebrations for the Ravens, and Magerk’s Pub & Grill, located on historic Cross Street known for its sports memorabilia and Philly-style cheesesteaks.
Just beyond Federal Hill is the waterfront community of Port Covington. The Sagamore Spirit Distillery Campus is here, a world-class waterfront distillery open five days a week for tours and tastings, the site also is home to Nineteen O Nine Rye Whiskey Bar and Rye Street Tavern, a waterfront restaurant and event space designed by Patrick Sutton.
“Pouring soon” in Federal Hill will be No Way Rosé, a new vibrant culinary experience from Chef Ashish Alfred, the restauranteur behind the Fells Point brasserie Duck Duck Goose.

In the heart of Federal Hill is Watershed, a classic Maryland seafood house in the newly renovated Cross Street Market. An expansive rooftop deck offers great views of the neighborhood with a covered bar, gaming area, and plenty of room to enjoy steamed crabs.
Enjoy a taste of Southern Italy at Limoncello, an upscale trattoria created by three partners who are all from Monte di Procida, a town just outside Naples. In the vast dining room and bar, or on the sprawling outdoor patio, guests can enjoy coastal specialties made from scratch including pasta, seafood, and handcrafted cocktails and wine.
For authentic Thai dining experiences in an intimate setting, head to Bodhi, which even has a vegan selection on the menu, or Thai Arroy, a cozy BYOB establishment. Matsuri has been a longtime fixture of the community, serving some of the region’s best sushi and Japanese fare. Besides choosing what rolls to order, the other hard decision here is whether to enjoy your meal at the restaurant or order it to go and enjoy it at home.
Rounding out the supper experience is a locally owned dessert destination, Bmore Licks, a second-generation family-owned ice cream shop with more than 100 flavors of handmade soft-serve ice cream.

For sustainable gifts, head to Sugar Boat, which sources its products from Baltimore or within 100 miles of the city. You'll find repurposed billboards, firehoses, bullet casings, skis, gin bottles, stuffed animals, and more.
The American Visionary Art Museum, one of the most fantastic museums in America (CNN), has a store that is one of the best-kept secrets in the area.
